Antônio grew up in a poor favela after being abandoned by his mother at the hospital. His thirst for justice and desire to fight organized crime at its roots—taking on those behind the entire system—led him to become the vigilante known as Black Bird. To accomplish this, he counts on his friend Falcon. In this issue, they are conducting a deep investigation to uncover those responsible for organizing militias in Rio de Janeiro.
Joana, a young Black journalist from Florianópolis, begins to experience strange blackouts and a strong connection with animals and the forces of nature. As she investigates these phenomena, she discovers she is the chosen one of the orixá Iansã, fulfilling an ancient prophecy. Now, as the heroine Windstorm, she takes on the mission to fight racism, misogyny, and social injustice, while facing resistance from a corrupt and sexist system—both on the streets and within the very newsroom where she works.
